![]() ![]() The cheesy potatoes I would compare to twice baked potato like and very good. The beans were excellent with lots of meat cooked in it. I should note that all of the bbq meats were well seasoned and didn’t require sauce. The ribs were excellent with a nice bite just like it should, that doesn’t pull all the meat off the bone, The sausage was very good but also very spicy, more that I normally like, but we were warned. The brisket had a nice bark and seasoning and were smoky. The burnt ends were tender and flavorful the chewy style. I even had a nice conversation with the owner/pit master. The staff was excellent, friendly and attentive. We had brisket, burnt ends, ribs, ghost pepper sausage, cheesy potatoes, potato salad and bbq beans. First off it’s not just bbq here, but that is what we came for. The restaurant is small with extra outside seating. I have high standards and expect good bbq. Most of our vacations include trying local bbq. I’ve read good reviews for Scott’s Kitchen so decided to give them a try. Spending a night at a hotel near the airport and craved good bbq for dinner. If back in the area, I would go back and come earlier in the day and have a meal inside the restaurant. The wings they server are big and are drenched in sauce so make sure you eat carefully. I had the three-meat combo sandwich, and I just tossed the bun as fell apart quickly and the meat was the star anyway. I can’t say it’s the best BBQ I’ve had, but it still hit the spot after a day of driving. A couple of workers ran over quickly and apologized (even though they really didn’t do anything wrong) and promised a new order of beans and sauce and it was nice of them to do so.Īs for the food itself, it was good. Unfortunately, when I put the bags on the table to talk to the person, one bag toppled over and out spilled some BBQ sauce and baked beans on the floor. While giving me the bags, another customer ran over trying to stop me as they thought I left my credit card at the register (it wasn’t mine). I then arrived at 6:30 and the food was ready a few minutes later. I figured I would call as a last-ditch effort to see if I could still place an order and she was willing to do it so that was a pleasant surprise. Anyway, we got to the room and tried to place an online order at 6:15 for pickup, but when I got to the payment page it was denied because it was too late. ![]() if they were just a lunch place only, they would close earlier. We got to the hotel at 6 and my wife went to the website and noticed they close at 6:30 PM, which is weird time as. We were staying at the Sheraton and saw the good reviews, so we wanted to stop by for dinner.
